Companies continue seeing their talent leaving, and those people are seeking alternative opportunities. Every good organization should care about this ongoing phenomenon, they say they do, but do they really care???? Are they hearing or just pretending to be listening?? I think we can all agree that if you truly care about something, then you should do something about that.
In the last twenty years, largely the corporate culture has experienced a major shift, in lack of providing a nurturing productivity work environment, managing profits and people got way out of balance, the working conditions surrounding employees have eroded to the point creating dissatisfaction, and people no longer find their carriers/jobs fulfilling. Greatly escalated by the change in economic conditions, the pandemic, and other factors caused companies to shut down and created in many instances a work-from-home environment, where now the employee became in control of their work environment, made of flex schedules, freedom of constant supervision, and yet still find themself productive, and providing value to them self’s and their employer. In other words, for the first time, many people felt empowered and be more in control of their lives. If we want to slow down the revolving doors, companies have to pivot towards a more employee-centric environment in their operations. The organizations that will adopt the quickest in response to these very costly ineffective practices will be the winners and will have the ability to maintain the best and brightest of the employees, and become the most profitable, the best place to work for organizations.
Does your employer have the initiative to create a work-life balance?
